Halloween Food Drive & Costume Contest

The Marquis Theater is throwing a Costume Contest followed by a free Halloween movie screening. At 9 a.m., sign up your child (ages 4-8) to be included in the contest. A panel of local judges from Frog Alley Tattoo and Piercing, Forth N’ Goal, and Tinker and Smithy will review the costumes. First place receives a $30 gift certificate, 4 movie passes, and a photo in the Cafe — plus the title “The 2019 Marquis Monster.”

A screening of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown starts at 10 a.m., followed by the first Hotel Transylvania. Hot cider will be available at the concession counter along with adult drink specials at the bar. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item or monetary donation towards Middlebury’s local Food Bank.
