Join us at The Vermont Book Shop Saturday, May 9 at 2 p.m. for a hands-on cooking demonstration for kids with Deanna F. Cook. Her fun and healthy recipes, all from her new cookbook, Cooking Class: 57 Fun Recipes Kids Will Love to Make (and Eat!), will inspire kids to get in the kitchen!

his free event will include a hands-on demo for kids and a sample recipe to take home.PLEASE RSVP by calling the bookstore at 388-2061 so we’ll know how many tomatoes to pick. The book, which will be available to purchase and have signed by the author herself, is geared for ages 6 to 12.
The event is to be held at The Vermont Book Shop, or outside at Triangle Park, weather permitting.
Deanna F. Cook has written dozens of books for kids, including the award-winning Kids’ Multicultural Cookbook. She was the creative development director at FamilyFun and has been an editor at Scholastic and Disney. She’s appeared on national television sharing crafts and recipes for kids and is currently the content director at Kidstir.com. She lives in western Massachusetts with her family.
