The weekend before Christmas, my family and I hosted a physically distant holiday extravaganza called the CocoaPort. Inspired by COVID restrictions — and the lack of a downtown hot cocoa hut — we created a series of magical, mechanical contraptions to deliver cocoa fixins to friends and family at a distance. We also had a miniature donkey named Olaf because, why not?
Thanks to Susan Donaldson James, Kathryn Flagg, Carolyn Barnwell and Matt Laux for providing footage for this video.
I have big dreams that one day this could become a community-wide annual event. Have some ideas about how to make it happen? Email me.
