Pond Brook Project, a VT state-approved, place-based, experiential school for 7th-9th grade is holding an informational meeting for interested students and families at Lawrence Memorial Library.
There will be a slideshow of the current year, presentation about the outdoor-focused curriculum, and a question-and-answer session for parents and prospective students. Teachers will provide information about the interdisciplinary, hands-on approach to learning, student agency, community culture and how our program covers the content areas required by the Vermont Agency of Education. Though not a traditional classroom setting, students at Pond Brook approach similar subject areas to other local schools through the lens of the natural and cultural history of the Champlain Valley.
Pond Brook Project admits students and families of all socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, and disability.
