Thursday, June 25

Teddy Bear Picnic in Bristol. Thursday, June 25, 12-1 p.m., Town Green. Please bring your favorite bear and join us on the Town Green for stories, songs and fun. Teddy Bear stories will be read by Ted’s best friend, Ali. Twenty lunches will be provided for children. Rain location is at Howden Hall. Free to the public.

Friday, June 26

Freshie Fridays Concert: Sunday Evening in Bristol. Friday, June 26, 5-8 p.m., BCC Botanicals, 140 North Street. An evening of good food, live music, and joyful gathering around the greenhouses. Sunday Evening plays vocal-driven feel-good string music. Click here for more info.

Friday Night Music in New Haven. Friday, June 26, 6-8 p.m., Lincoln Peak Vineyard,142 River Road. Enjoy live music by Atom & the Orbits, food from La Chapina and Vermont wines. Bring a blanket and relax at the vineyard. Free. Click here for more info.

Saturday, June 27

Kids Cafe at the Middlebury Marquis in Middlebury: Minions.  12:30 p.m. 65 Main St., Middlebury. A weekly free kids movie in the cafe space. 

Summerfest on the Green in New Haven. Saturday, June 27, 4-7 p.m., the Town Green. Bring your Volunteer Fireman’s Chicken BBQ dinner over to the green and join your neighbors for an evening of fun. Live music, face painting and games for the kids, a birthday cake to celebrate 125 years of the New Haven Library, free Historical Society giveaways and lots more. Parking is behind the church.

Sunday, June 28

Strawberry Festival and Book Sale in Monkton. Sunday, June 28, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Russell Memorial Library. The strawberry festival and book sale benefitting the Russell Memorial Library. Games and crafts for kids and yummy strawberry treats for all.

Ice Cream Social in Shoreham. Sunday, June 28, noon – 2 p.m., Shoreham Congregational Church. Come get your take-out ice cream and celebrate the Shoreham community in conjunction with the Car Show on the Town Green. Enjoy vanilla and/or chocolate ice cream. Toppings include chocolate, caramel, maple, strawberries, homemade whipped cream. Rain date is Sunday, July 12. $4 – $7.

Princess Party and Sign Up Event. Sunday, June 28, 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Middlebury Rec Gym. Girls in grades Pre-k and up and a caregiver are invited to join us and learn about opportunities to get involved in your community through Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. Try out sample princess-themed activities, meet a Miss Teen VT title holder, and see the many ways to get involved.

Strawberry Bluegrass Festival in Cornwall. Sunday, June 28, 3:30 – 7 p.m., The Meeting House at Cornwall. The strawberry fest is back! Enjoy strawberry shortcake featuring local organic strawberries from Purple Barn Farm. Get out your lawn chair, your blanket or your dancing shoes, and enjoy the music of Sap Line (3:30 p.m.) and Otter Creek (5:30 p.m.) Free; donations welcome.

Magicians Without Borders Presentation & Performance in Shoreham. Sunday, June 28, 4 – 6 p.m., The Red Studio, 1078 Doolittle Rd. Tom Verner and Janet Fredericks present an entertaining, informative opportunity to learn about their organization and the work they have been doing for 25 years in 47 countries around the world.

Sunday Sessions: Bobby Sheehan Live in Middlebury. Sunday, June 28, 4-7 p.m., The Ralph Myhre Golf Course, 317 Golf Course Road (Patio at the Tavern on the Tee). Singer-songwriter Bobby Sheehan’s music is steeped in the folk traditions of New England and shaped by a life surrounded by melody and storytelling. Free.

Monday, June 29

Birds Are Dinosaurs: VINS Live Animal Presentation in New Haven. Monday, June 29, 5 p.m., New Haven Town Hall, 78 North St. What did 65 million years of evolution turn the dinosaurs into? Birds! Celebrating “Unearth a Story” at your local library, this live presentation introduces audiences to birds of prey and explores their dinosaur ancestry. Learn how modern birds became masters of the air and discover the immense timescale over which these dinosaur descendants adapted. The 45-minute program features three live animals — one turtle and two birds — and is designed for families and children of all ages.

Tuesday, June 30

Summer Reading Kick-Off Party in Brandon. Tuesday, June 30, 10:30 a.m. – noon, Brandon Free Public Library, 4 Franklin St. Decorate cookies and embellish tote bags to carry all of your Summer Reading books while Mr. Ethan serenades partygoers.

Wednesday, July 1

Tie-Dye at the Library in Brandon. Wednesday, July 1, 10:30 a.m. – noon, Brandon Free Public Library, 4 Franklin St. BYO item to tie-dye (we will also have some available). Wear clothes that can get messy This activity will take place outdoors.

Summer Live Music: Albany Sound in Bristol. Wednesday, July 1, 6-8 p.m., Tillerman, 1868 Rt 116 Road, Bristol. Enjoy live music and tacos, creative cocktails and mocktails, snacks, and paletas. You are welcome to bring your own blankets & chairs for the lawn. Click here for more info.

Bristol Town Band Summer Concerts on the Park in Bristol. Wednesday, July 1, 7 p.m., Town Green. The Bristol Town Band is back for its 156th year of weekly evening concerts. Each Wednesday from June 17 to August 26 the Town Green will be filled with music and events. Bring a picnic and chair to enjoy the music with family and friends. 

Friday, July 3

Independence Day Celebration in Brandon. Friday, July 3. This small town knows how to throw a party! There are free events planned from morning to night for everyone in the family. Block Party with Vermont National Guard Band plus Redd & The Paper Flowers in Middlebury. Friday, July 3, 3-8 p.m., Town Hall Theater, Maloney Plaza, 68 South Pleasant Street. A community block party celebrating America’s 250th anniversary featuring chamber music from Vermont’s Own 40th Army Band and Appalachian folk-grass group Redd & The Paper Flowers, along with a festive bike parade. Sunday Sessions: Breanna Elaine live in Middlebury. Sunday, July 5, 4-7 p.m., The Ralph Myhre Golf Course, 317 Golf Course Road (Patio at the Tavern on the Tee). Breanna’s music blends earthy folk, indie and singer-songwriter influences, but her sound goes well beyond easy labels. Performing a mix of original songs and thoughtfully chosen covers on vocals and guitar, she brings a warmth and depth that pulls listeners in and keeps them there. Free.

Ongoing Events

Dad Guild Playgroup. 1st Sunday of the month. 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Nest and Gather, 55 Deer View Lane, New Haven. This free playgroup is a chance for dads to get together with their kids and build community. No need to register, drop-ins welcome.

Lactation Support Open Hour. June 22, July 6, July 20, and August 24. Nest and Gather, 55 Deer View Lane, New Haven. A relaxed, open hour to ask questions, get guidance, or simply connect around feeding your baby.

Sacred Holding Circle: Reproductive Grief & Loss Peer Support. Every other Wednesday starting June 10, 2026. 11:30 a.m. Nest and Gather, 55 Deer View Lane, New Haven. A peer support group for those navigating reproductive grief and loss in any form-including miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, infertility, and complex reproductive or postpartum experiences. Free. RSVPs appreciated.

The Blooming Circle Postpartum Mom Support Group. 1st & 3rd Fridays of the month. 11 a.m. Nest and Gather, 55 Deer View Lane, New Haven. Run by local mom, Kelly Bessette, The Blooming Circle is a postpartum support group that serves mothers who live within Addison County, Vermont. This group is committed to supporting emotional well-being, self-care, and mental health, helping every mom embrace her new journey with confidence and strength. Free. RSVPs appreciated.
