Hands up if your ear piercing story involved a mall, an disgruntled teen and an infected ear ?
Two hands up if it involved an ice cube, a sewing needle and your best friend ??
Turns out there is a better way. But what is it? Amy from Weybridge offered to share her ear piercing story with us, you’ll likely be as surprised as we were to find out where Sophie had her ears pierce. Spoiler, it didn’t involve a mall or shady needles.
My daughter Sophie recently had her ears pierced (a privilege of turning 10 in our household) at Rainbow Pediatrics, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. When the time came, we were well prepared with a handout and an explanation of the procedure, and Sophie had the chance to choose from a selection of 5 or 6 pairs of tastefully simple piercing earrings made of nice-quality, surgically safe materials. After the earlobes were cleaned and marked to our approval with dots where the holes would be, Sophie was flanked by two capable and friendly care providers and given a party blower. She was invited to blow at the end of the countdown, and then there was a click as both ears were pierced simultaneously. Sophie reports, “It didn’t hurt as much as I expected it to!” We were charged $25 including the earrings, and the process was simple and pleasant. We booked it to coincide with a well-child visit, but have since learned that you do not need to be a Rainbow patient to have your ears pierced there. We highly recommend Rainbow for this milestone!

We concur with this – Rainbow was the best and we happened to have my daughter’s pierced on a whim when we went in for a well-child! Win Win, and they were great!
