I checked off a bucket list item of mine a couple of weeks ago when I loaded up my 2 spirited, blonde bambinos and headed toward Shoreham. Along Route 74 (quite boldly, I might add) is a field of wonky, eye-catching art sculptures known as the Lemon Fair Sculpture Walk. I’ve always wanted to go and finally made it happen!
To start, parking is very easy. The path is very clear and you can see art immediately when you get there. A total win when you’re trying to motivate a couple of kids to walk a mile when they really don’t want to.
The path is flat and relatively easy to follow. The whole field had even been hayed shortly before we arrived, and picturesque round bales were scattered everywhere. Making it feel like Vermont was showing off all her best moves.
The kids enjoyed all the quirky art. Our favorite was a gigantic oblong shape that was much larger in person than we expected. Our least favorite was a live action piece we brought ourselves called “treating my son’s low blood sugar,” but it was a very beautiful place to drink a juice box.
All in all this was a pretty good time! I definitely recommend it if you need to move little bodies and get out of the house for a bit like we did.
