back to school they go! Ok perhaps it’s not quite time for the teary goodbyes or raucous celebrations, but it seems that events for kids are winding down as the summer slowly comes to a close. So rather than highlight special events this weekend, we though we’d send out a reminder of all the AMAZING local standbys. So in no particular order, here’s a few places to stop by before summer closes.
Henry Sheldon Museum – children can enjoy the historical toys and clothes in a kid friendly space. Additional, currently on exhibit: Take Me to the Fair: An Addison County Tradition is a family friendly portrayal of the history of the fair.
Morgan Horse Farm – bring a picnic, enjoy a tour, and say hello to the beautiful horses.
Lake Dunmore – go for a hike to the Falls of Lana or stop by Branbury State Park.
TAM – get out and enjoy the best of our local trails with your family. You could even hike a different section each day and eventually walk the whole trail, sounds like a great family challenge to us!
A & W – eat out the old fashion way before they close for the season.
