busy busy busy

07.27.2012 By: Eliza, MiniBury Founder

Who’s busy this weekend? It seems that everyone likes to cram in as much as possible on the weekends. So you could get together with your college buddies and hang off a deck, but if that’s not your style, then here’s what’s happening in and around town:

Three day Stampede Lawn Sale at the Bristol Recreational Park. Benefits cystic fibrosis research. Huge lawn sale, raffle, flea market, bake sale, chicken barbecue (Saturday), walk-a-thon (Sunday) and more. Friday & Saturday 8:00am to 8:00pm; Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm. 20 tents full of everything under the sun! Need more info, see their website.

Story Walk in Salisbury kicks off Saturday at 10:30 am. This self guided tour includes a short hike and an on going story. The story (if the weather cooperates) will be up until Sunday at 5:00 pm. Need more info, see our full post here.

If you’re looking for a quick trip out of the house, try the story hour at the Morgan Horse Museum in Middlebury on Saturday morning from 11-noon.

Headed north (or have a horse lover under your roof), then stop by Shelburne Farms for the Green Mountain Draft Horse Field Day. This day is sure to delight the kiddies with demonstration of draft horses working, starting at 11.

Don’t forget about the two great farmers market’s in Middlebury and Bristol. What are you up to?

Let us know if we missed something!

Hello, I’m Eliza. I founded MiniBury in 2012 because I had a hunch that I wasn't the only parent in Addison County missing fun family friendly events. I love the challenge of finding and sharing information about our community to other parents.
