TUESDAY, JANUARY 20

Burn through some energy at this unstructured playtime with tricycles, hula hoops and other ride-on toys in the town gym! This program is free thanks to generous support from Junebug.

- Make your own planetarium in Vergennes. Wednesday, Jan. 21, Bixby Memorial Library, 258 Main St. Transform your room into a cosmic wonderland and create a star project using simple materials. Explore constellations, learn about the Milky Way, and bring the night sky indoors.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 25 National Girls & Women in Sports Day Clinic in Middlebury. Sunday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m.-noon, Peterson Family Athletic Complex, 219 South Main Street. Middlebury College hosts a free sports clinic for girls in kindergarten through eighth grade in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The clinic features a variety of sport stations run by Panther women student-athletes. Register by Wednesday, Jan. 21, at athletics.middlebury.edu to receive a free t-shift. SATURDAY, FEB 7Snowshoe Safari: Winter tracking with Vermont Fish and Wildlife in Goshen. Saturday, Feb. 7, 1-3 p.m., Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, 1288 Goshen-Ripton Rd. Join Middlebury Area Land Trust and Vermont Fish & Wildlife for a family-friendly winter tracking adventure on the Beaver Dam Loop, a roughly 1.7-mile trail with optional side treks. Participants will snowshoe or hike while learning to identify animal tracks and signs and uncover the stories wildlife leaves behind in the snow. Free. More info at maltvt.org.
SATURDAY, FEB. 14- Willowell Boogie Benfit in Bristol. Saturday, Feb. 14, 6 p.m., Holley Hall, 1 South St. Dance the night away at the Willowell Foundation’s annual Boogie Benefit fundraiser. The family-friendly event features live music by the Almendros, a silent auction, food and a cash bar. Proceeds support Willowell’s scholarship funding, helping children access nature-based programming and education. $10 at the door, free for children 12 and under. More info at willowell.org.
