CORNWALL TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL AUG. 6
Cobbler, ice cream, baked goods, kids’ fun & music set for town green
Cornwall, Vt.—All things blueberry will return to Cornwall’s town center on Saturday, August 6, with the fourth renewal of the Blueberry Festival and Family Day from 1 to 4 p.m.
Once again, the centerpieces of the afternoon will be homemade blueberry cobbler with ice cream, as well as blueberry sundaes, both at $4 each. A table of baked goods for sale will feature a blueberry theme as well, with blueberry pies leading the way. Rounding out the day will be a raffle of goods and services, music, and activities from face painting to a water balloon toss.
Admission is free, and the event will take place rain or shine. The green and church are at the intersection of Vermont Routes 30 and Route 74, just a few miles southwest of Middlebury.
After a long and successful run hosting a Strawberry Festival in June, members and friends of the Cornwall Congregational Church struck out in a new direction in 2013 with a switch in color and month and haven’t looked back. The festival is a popular stop for families with kids, cyclists out for a weekend ride, and anyone willing to risk getting drenched for glory in the water balloon toss.
