This year’s United in Harmony participants are from all over Vermont. The roster includes The Bobolinks, Bullseye, Green Mountain Chorus, Honeymooners, Mansfield Four, Root 7, Sweet Beats, The Blue Skies Trio, Rhubabes, and Vocal Unrest.
The a cappella groups will be judged by local celebrities Alisa Endsley, Clint Bierman and Justin Bouvier. Alisa Endlsey has performed leading roles on Broadway and in London’s West End. Clint Bierman is a composer, educator and the lead singer and front-man for “The Grift”. Justin Bouvier has many musical theater credits on his resume and is regularly seen in shows at Town Hall Theater. The evening will be hosted by local actress and singer Sarah Stone.
The goal of the event is to raise $8,000 to support the UWAC general fund and its twenty-nine critical health, education and human service organizations. “United in Harmony will serve as a showcase for all vocal harmony enthusiasts while at the same time showing our friends and neighbors in need that they are supported and cared for by their fellow community members,” says Nancy Luke, Development and Marketing Manager of the United Way. Proceeds from United in Harmony help to provide community members with access to much needed food, shelter, health care, safe havens, quality educational opportunities and so much more.
United in Harmony will take place on Thursday, May 7, from 7:00-9:30 PM at Town Hall Theater. Tickets are $15 students, $25 general admission, $35 generous admission. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Addison County. For tickets, call 382-9222 or visit townhalltheater.org.
