Bring the family, and a blanket along with your appetite for good food, wine and fabulous music and sounds from around the globe to Lincoln Peak Vineyard in this four part outdoor summer series! Children 12 and under are free.
June 17:
Chilean singer-songwriter Pascuala Ilabaca is a unique and treasured voice in both the Latin American and World Music scenes. Ilabaca and her band won Best World Beat Album at the Independent Music Awards. In little over a decade, she has released six albums and performed on multiple world tours. She is known for her flamboyant and refreshing performances. Get ready to have some fun!
July 8:
Mukana (meaning “opportunity” in the Shona language of Zimbabwe) is an eclectic gathering of world-class musicians. This international band blends world and jazz traditions in sophisticated arrangements, with beautiful complexity and global rhythms. The artists hail from Zimbabwe, Chile, Haiti, Brazil – and include a Middlebury College grad. Mukana creates music that compels you to your feet in a joyful celebration of our global community.
August 19:
Costa Rican multi-instrumentalist Maiz “Brujo” Vargas Sandoval and his Afro-Latino Orchestra, a hot Festive Band, blend traditional cumbia, montuno, son corrido, puya, and afro-carribean sounds all while he shares his heritage and culture. Based out of Burlington, Vermont, bring your dance moves on this last night of the series that is sure to end in an explosive dance party!
September 9:
KeruBo is a singer/songwriter and Afro-Jazz artist, originally from Kenya who now lives in the Burlington area. Accompanied by a nine-piece band at Lincoln Peak Vineyard, she sings African folk music, Afro Pop and Afro jazz.
