MiniBury is busy busy busy getting ready for next week’s Week of the Young Child (April 10–16), an annual event sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to celebrate early learning, to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families, and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. We celebrate kids and early learning every week but next week it’s official! Expect fun blog posts each day next week that honor our youngest learners.

On our instagram account, you’ll find pictures from around 
Addison County highlighting local secrets, food, culture, family-friendly activities, DIY kid-friendly craft and science projects, and much much more. While our instagram furthers the MiniBury mission to support women, children and families in Addison County, you’ll notice we’re a little more relaxed over there! Our instagram focus is on what real Vermont life looks like with kids; the good, back and ugly – because let’s be honest, sometimes life is ugly and we want you to know that you’re not on this wild kid raising ride alone!
In April, look for preschool art adorning storefronts in Bristol, Middlebury and Vergennes. We’ll be sharing photographs of the displays on our instagram account all this week; there are over 20 participating preschool providers, so we have plenty of images to share with you!
We’ll also be sharing your family photos – tag your instagram photo with #monthoftheyoungchildvt for a chance to be featured.
