Community Halloween party in New Haven
When: Fri, October 31, 3pm – 8pm
Where: around New Haven. 
Description: Pumpkin carving 3-6:30 p.m. in town hall cafeteria, trunk-or-treat in town hall parking lot at 5 p.m., Halloween parade to town green at 6:45 p.m., and pumpkin lighting at 7 p.m. followed at the Congregational Church by refreshments and a rather spooky “haunted church.” Info: 453-5978 or 877-3080.
Library trick-or-treat in Monkton
When: Fri, October 31, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Where: Russell Memorial Library.
Description: All children are invited to come to the library in costume and receive a free book and a candy treat. Info: 453-4471.
Halloween party for trick-or-treaters in Salisbury
When: Fri, October 31, 5pm – 7pm
Where: Salisbury Public Library.
Description: Come in costume. Pizza and drinks served. Info: kathrynschloff@hotmail.com.
 Trick or trunk in Middlebury
When: Fri, October 31, 5pm – 7pm
Where: Middlebury United Methodist Church.
Description: Kids can trick-or-treat in one spot. Games, cider and donuts in the Fellowship Hall. No charge.
Trunk-or-treat in Monkton
When: Fri, October 31, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Where: Monkton Friends Methodist Church.
Description: Safe, off-the-street trick-or-treating from car to car in the parking lot. Church will be open for Halloween crafts, snacks and bathroom breaks.
 Trunk or treat in Leicester
When: Fri, October 31, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Where: Leicester Central School.
Description: Kids can trick-or-treat from vehicle to vehicle. Free. To decorate a vehicle, call 247-8187 or email Heather LaPorte at heatherlaporte@gmail.com. Vehicle set-up at 5:30 p.m.
Halloween dance party in Vergennes
When: Fri, October 31, 7pm – 11pm
Where: Vergennes Opera House.
Description: The Aerolites play an all-ages show. Doors open at 7, show starts at 8. Costume contest. Tickets $10, to benefit the Vergennes Food Shelf, available in advance at Classic Stitching in Vergennes. Info: 877-6737 or www.vergennesoperahouse.org.

  1. Whiting Community Church in Whiting will also be having Trunk or Treat at 6pm Halloween night. Come in costume, go from car to car to get candy, then come inside to get warm while you enjoy cider & coffee.
