Happy Spring from Minibury.
A few housekeeping notes:
1 – Another post of the Be a Regular series will be back on Thursday. Keep your eyes peeled.
2 – Do you or anyone you know tap maple trees, boil sap, and make maple syrup at home? Or a small scale family operation in which kids under 12 are somehow involved? If so, please let us know! We’d love to chat about how your family takes part in this Vermont tradition!
3 – New name for late winter into spring – Sprinter? Wring? Almost Mud Season?
Even though you could argue that nothing about this day looks SPRING-Y, I ventured into our yard to find a new tree bud. I’m not sure what kind of shrub this is, but I’m glad it is out there.
This seasonal aside is brought to you by Nap Time. Minibury basically runs on Nap Time – providing parents a few precious hours of “free time” in which to help the FedEx truck get un-stuck from the driveway, nap, and dash around the yard without a jacket on to find a plant that thinks spring is right around the corner.
