Kentucky Derby Day Fundraiser Saturday

05.04.2016 By: Eliza, MiniBury Founder

Looking for an excuse to get out of the house for date night? Join us this Saturday, May 7, for the Kentucky Derby Day Party in Cornwall! Untitled design (1)MiniBury is proud to support the Porter Auxiliary in their efforts to raise funds for Porter Medical Center. For more than 50 years, the Porter Medical Center Auxiliary has supported the work of Porter Hospital and Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center via donations for new equipment, programs and services. The Derby Day event is only one of the projects that generate funds; additional funds are generated by the Round Robin Upscale Resale Shop and other special events. At MiniBury, we believe in the strength and necessity of our community hospital and hope you’ll join us for this fabulous spring event.

This outdoor evening consists of gourmet nibbles, mint juleps, blue grass music, raffle items, and great company in a relaxed setting with absolutely sunning views of the Adirondack Mountains! Guests will be able to wager on their favorite horse—and then cheer on the winner during a live broadcast of the “Run for the Roses” at approximately 6:30 p.m. If you’re looking to break up with boring, we highly recommend the 14th Annual Kentucky Derby Day Party!

Ladies, please note, this is a rain or shine event – while there’s a tent in case of uncooperative weather – wedges, flats and other non-spiky shoes are recommended.

Eliza, MiniBury Founder

Hello, I’m Eliza. I founded MiniBury in 2012 because I had a hunch that I wasn't the only parent in Addison County missing fun family friendly events. I love the challenge of finding and sharing information about our community to other parents.
