Bixby Library wants to see your kids’ LEGO creations! The library, and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vergennes, is about to host its second annual LEGO contest and exhibit, the grand finale of which will be an awards ceremony on February 17.
Here’s how to enter the contest: Make something awesome with LEGOs, Duplos or MegaBlocks. (This contest is for LEGO builders of all ages, from pre-K to adult.) Fill out a registration form here — before Monday, February 3.
Up to a total of 60 entrants will be accepted.
Prizes for creativity will be awarded in Pre-K and Grades K-2 and Grades 3-5 categories.
Prizes for craftsmanship will be handed out in the Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12 categories.
Prizes in the Adult, Senior and Adult/Child Team categories will be based on both creativity and craftsmanship.
Judging will be completed before the Feb. 17 ceremony, which will run from 5-7 p.m. at the library. Entries may be dropped off at the Bixby on Feb. 13 between 4 and 7 p.m.
Entries must consist primarily of LEGO, Duplo, Megablocks or other Lego-compatible plastic bricks and related pieces. They must be original works and not be based on LEGO kits or online or magazine instructions, according to organizers.
Have fun and good luck!
