plan your weekend now

10.17.2012 By: Eliza, MiniBury Founder

plan your weekend nowGood news, we’re organized this week and you should be too. Look at all these great events happening this weekend!

Are your kiddies already super excited about Halloween? Give them a chance to get in a few extra scares before the big night at the haunted warehouse in Vergennes. For those who might need a familiar hand to hold, there are matinée tours from noon-3:00 on Saturday. The big kids (11 and up) can visit from 6:00-9:00 (or at the matinée) on Saturday.

Little ones will love pretending to drive the big farm machines at tractor day at the Shelburne Farms Farm Barn (and visiting the animals) on Saturday.

There will be public skate time at the Memorial Sports Center on Saturday afternoon so your family can skate out the summer kinks. After your brushed up on your skating skills, head back to the rink Saturday night for the first DJ Skate Night, a family friendly, fun-filled evening.

The Snow Bowl is a hosting another open house this weekend, so head up there Sunday to enjoy a pancake breakfast, chair lift rides (foliage for you, daring heights for them!), and learn about the learn to ski programs and ski club.  After you drive back down the mountain, enjoy a family friendly, seasonally appropriate (spooky!) concert: the Symphony of Whales. Or you could head over to Middlebury Fitness for Head over Heals Gymnastics. This tumbling class offers a drop-in option for $13. Parent and Child 18 mos. – 3 years 9:00-9:50am.  Child only 3-8 year olds 10:00-10:50am   For more info, please contact Candace Munson at 802-773-1404 or visit www.headoverheelsvt.com. Speaking of fitness, the Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble 5k and 10k races are being held on Sunday too. For more info or to register click here.

What is your family up to this weekend? Let us know.

Eliza, MiniBury Founder

Hello, I’m Eliza. I founded MiniBury in 2012 because I had a hunch that I wasn't the only parent in Addison County missing fun family friendly events. I love the challenge of finding and sharing information about our community to other parents.
