School Year Programs

Here’s a roundup of the recurring baby/toddler programming in our area during the school year. All these events are free. Holidays, scheduled closings and special events may alter these dates from time to time.

MONDAY

Circle of Life Story Hour at EastView at Middlebury (10 am. every third Monday of the month)

TUESDAY

Playtime at Vergennes Congregational (9:30 am – 11:30 am) in the Upstairs of the Manse hosted by local parents.

Story & Playtime at Salisbury Free Public Library (10:30 am)

Stories and Playtime at The New Haven Library (10:30 am) Weekly drop-in time for a few simple stories, songs, and movement. Sometimes a craft!

WEDNESDAY

Storytime at Ilsley Library (9 am) Bounce, read, and play with Miss Tricia! Children aged birth-pre-K are welcome along with their caregivers and siblings.

Tot Time at Middlebury Park and Recreation (10am – 12pm) Set those little ones loose in the wide open gym. Select a ride-on toy, enjoy a variety of balls or simply run around!

Bristol Family Playgroup at the Bristol Federated Church (9:30 am -11 am) A welcoming opportunity for families to connect, play, and learn together! Children ages birth to 6 years. Hosted by the Addison County Parent Child Center

Toddler time at Brandon Public Library (10:30 am – 11:30 am) Ages up to 3 – explore the library and play!

Story Time with Meg (10:30 am) Every Wednesday a library story time geared for age birth-5. Enjoy stories, songs and a craft with Meg. All welcome.

THURSDAY

Playgroup at the Vergennes Congregational Church (9:30 am -11:00 am) in Fellowship Hall is hosted by the Parent Child Center.

Storytime at the Brandon Free Public Library (10:30 am – 11:30 am)

FRIDAY

Storytime at Bixby Library (10:30 am) Storytime is held every Friday morning in the Bixby’s Children’s Room for stories, crafts, fun, and community connection! Recommended for preschool-aged children.

Storytime at Lincoln Library (10:30 am – 11:30 am) Join us for a fun morning with stories, kids’ songs, musical instruments, and a quick snack. Weather permitting, the event will be outside

Lake Champlain Maritime Museum’s weekly storytime! (11:00 am–12:00 pm) Families with young children (recommended age 5 and younger). Meets every Friday from May 29–October 16. This program is free to attend with no registration required.

SATURDAY

Storytime at the Brandon Free Public Library (10:30 am – 11:30 am)

Note: Most of these events follow the school calendar. If school is closed for a snow day, in-service day or holiday, so is playgroup.
