Did you know you can hang out as long as you want inside Ilsley Public Library again?! Since the start of this month, the library (which also got a snappy new website) has been open to unlimited visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
While you’re there, you should sign up for the kids’ summer reading program, Tails and Tales. Librarian Kathryn LaLiberte (pictured) will get you all set up. Here’s how it works:
Each child gets a folder filled with a summer calendar and tons of stickers. Kids place a sticker on each day they read (or someone reads to them) for at least 20 minutes. Earn 20 stickers, and answer the question on the back of the calendar, and they can turn them in for a prize!
The first calendar runs from Jun 13 to July 10, and the prize is a free Haymaker bun.
The second runs July 11 through August 7; the prize is $5 in Middlebury Money.
Have fun reading!
