weekend round up

03.31.2016 By: Eliza, MiniBury Founder

tapIt’s that time of year again…Vermont Maple Syrup Open House Weekend is nearly here! This weekend syrup makers from all over the state open up their sugar houses and invite the public to enjoy Vermont’s finest product, Maple Syrup. While each venue offers a unique experience, expect lots of syrup consumption! We’ve added just two open houses on our calendar – Bread Loaf View Farm’s Pancake Breakfast  + Dakin Farm’s Sugar on Snow – but a full list of events can be found here.

This weekend is also Spectrum’s Sleep Out in Burlington, all participants will fundraise to support homeless and at-risk youth served by Spectrum Youth & Family Services. Learn more here.

Finally we are passing along a note from Addison County Readers because, well, they rock….

Has your child ever participated in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library? If so, please take a few minutes and complete a 5 minute survey for Addison County Readers, the local sponsor of the Imagination Library. Your answers will be kept private. Information gathered will help  measure the effectiveness of the program over time and will support ACR as they request grants for funding.

Please click here for the survey:  http://goo.gl/forms/dDm5feCKXn

or go to www.addisoncountyreaders.org and choose TAKE OUR SURVEY.  Responses will be accepted until April 30, 2016.

Also, there  will be an informational meeting about Addison County Readers and their activities throughout Addison County on April 26th at 6:30 in the Ilsley Library Community Room. You are invited! Child care will be provided.

Where are you headed this weekend? Email us suggestions!

Eliza, MiniBury Founder

Hello, I’m Eliza. I founded MiniBury in 2012 because I had a hunch that I wasn't the only parent in Addison County missing fun family friendly events. I love the challenge of finding and sharing information about our community to other parents.
