hello snow! It finally feels like normal winter weather out there, so we’re planning some winter friendly activities this weekend. We’ll be kicking off the weekend cheering on the Middlebury Men’s Hockey team tonight at 7:00 p.m..
Saturday it’s off to the Middlebury College Snow Bowl for first tracks on the Wonder Carpet. Nordic families, check out the ongoing, drop-in friendly* Saturday children’s programs (3.5-13 years old) at Rikert Nordic Center. After skiing, we’re headed back into the first Toddler TaeKwon Do session at Ilsley Library. *call ahead to reserve a spot
Saturday night, we’ll be hitting the hay early, but for teens and families with night owls, be sure to check out the DJ Skate Night and/or the Dance Marathon at Middlebury College. The Dance Marathon raises funds for the Vermont Children’s Hospital; it is open to the public and family friendly!
Sunday it’s more skiing and taking the dog for a stroll along the TAM.
On Monday, don’t forget to bring your gently used or new books to the Vermont Book Shop to help support the MLK Day of Service Children’s Book Drive. All collected books will go to Bonnie’s Book Foundation who donates the books to local children who need and want them.
What’s your family doing this weekend? We encourage you to keep emailing us suggestions, like us on facebook or follow us on twitter. We learn the most from YOU!
