Connect With Other New Moms — On Zoom

Connect With Other New Moms — On Zoom

With playgroups on hold indefinitely — and colder weather making outdoor gatherings more uncomfortable — some new parents may be finding it tricky to connect with one another.

Enter Alison Underwood’s Zoom group for new moms. The counselor and social worker at Porter Women’s Health, Alison has been wanting to create such a group for some time. “The isolation the pandemic has caused,” she said, spurred her to do it now, as an online forum.

The group will meet weekly, Thursdays at noon. It is aimed at moms in their first year postpartum, but Alison says pregnant people and those with toddlers are also welcome.

The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 3.

To join, email Alison, or call her — 802-388-6326 — for the Zoom link.
