The Middlebury Community House is seeking a long term rental. Currently, the historic house is under-utilized and their board is looking to the greater Middlebury community to help determine the future use of the building. Centrally located in downtown Middlebury, the house could be the home to an entrepreneurial spirited individual, group or business. Historically the house hosts an assortment of social gatherings such as baby showers, receptions, high teas, Santa visits, etc., which will continue on the first floor, as well as business ventures such as photo shoots, training sessions, professional meetings.
Groups that have enjoyed the hospitality of the Community House recently are Middlebury Friends, Women’s Club, Garden Club, Vermont Public Radio, Danforth Pewter, Frog Hallow Crafts, Addison County Hospice support groups, Better Middlebury Partnership and the Red Hat Society.
Interested community members are invited to tour the Community House and present a Request for Proposal that will outline their idea for use of the house and record physical changes that would be needed to make their proposed use a reality.
