4th Annual Ski Race at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl
Team and individual racers – skiers, snowboarders and telemark and norpine skiers – will compete for the handmade, whimsical and prestigious cup. Named after Warren, the beloved green iguana who at Quarry Hill School for many years, the Iguana Cup is a valued fundraiser for the school and a way to bring together a community of families of all ages with shared experiences in a healthy environment.
Registration is from 9 am to 11 am, and the Slalom course is open on the Allen from 10 am to 2 pm. All are welcome – beginners, experts, snowboarders, telemarkers, alpine and norpine skiers alike. Prizes are awarded for costumes and team name originality. Download a registration form.
Unlimited runs on the course throughout the day will provide fun throughout the day. Awards and prizes presented after the course closes at 2 pm.
Raffle:
This year we have a fantastic Raffle for a signed Shaun White Burton snowboard donated to the school by a parent of a former student. Look for the snowboard in the window at the Skihaus in Middlebury! Tickets will be on sale there or from current Quarry Hill School families. Preregistered participants will each be entered in the raffle. $5 per ticket. 5 tickets for $20.
All proceeds from the Iguana Cup event and the raffle will benefit Quarry Hill School.
