The Vermont Chili Festival is the best (and most delicious!) way to enjoy a winter day. Join thousands of hardy Vermonters tasting their way through the closed-off streets of downtown Middlebury, and enjoy a festive atmosphere, live music, parties,  street performers, and more!

Historic downtown Middlebury will be brimming with chili from top restaurants and caterers from around the state. Meet the folks behind the award-winning recipes, enjoy all-ages entertainment and two HOT after parties- both with awesome drink specials and live music from BandAnna (51 Main) and The Horse Traders (Two Brothers Tavern).

We’re turning up the heat in 2016!

This year, a panel of judges will be determining the best of the best in all 6 categories of chili: Veggie, Beef, Chicken, Game, Kitchen Sink and Pork. Winners will each receive a cash prize and will go on to compete in the best-of-the-best Overall Winner category.

Everyone who attends the festival will be able to vote for their favorite chili and best booth. The top vote getters will receive a cash prize and the designation of “People’s Choice” and “Best Booth” award winner! Winners will be announced by MC at the end of the festival.
