A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum is a non-stop laugh-fest in which Pseudolus, a crafty slave, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan named Philia, for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors, and a showgirl or two. Presented by Middlebury Community Players.
Rated PG. Appropriate for ages 8 and up.
Opening April 28 and closing May 7, the show runs Thursday through Sunday the first weekend and Thursday through Saturday the second weekend. Showtimes are 8:00 for April 28, 29, 30 and May 5, 6 and 7 with 2:00 matinees on May 1 and 7. Tickets are $15 for the Thursday shows, $23 for all other performances ($18 for students with ID), and can be purchased at the box office, (802) 382-9222, or online at www.townhalltheater.org. ASL interpretation will be available at the May 1 show.
