SUPPORTING CHILDREN EXPERIENCING SEPARATION AND DIVORCE
A Workshop for Child Care Providers and Families
Monday October 17th 6:30—8:30 pm
Location: Ilsley Library Community Room
Child Care provided at Mary Johnson Children’s Center—RSVP required
The family disruption resulting from separation and divorce is difficult — both for adults and children. How parents handle their family restructuring makes a big difference in how their children respond to the situation. There are many positive actions parents can take to increase their child’s security and acceptance of the family changes.
Join UVM professor Dr. Larry Shelton for this workshop which will examine separation, divorce, repartnering and the effects they may have on children’s development. How can we best support our children during this time? How can parents and caregivers work together to help children navigate their changing worlds?
Child Care and pizza provided. RSVP required.
Child care providers will receive Advanced Specialized Care credits.
Please RSVP to Amethyst 388-4304 or [email protected]
