Green Up Day is a day to pick up roadside trash. Green Up Day bags are available on Green Up Day in your town! Some towns start handing them out a week before, for people who can’t Green Up on Green Up Day. Green Up Day is Saturday… but you can start earlier if you want!
Here are the basics:
– COLLECT: The Cornwall Town Hall has green bags for collection, and a map so that you can see what areas have been covered. Take a bag or two and highlight the area you’re going to cover.
– DEPOSIT: Bring the trash to the school on Saturday and toss it into one of the town trucks. (One for bags, one for metal, tires, etc.) Please don’t leave trash by the side of the road. Just throw it in a vehicle and bring it to the school. Thanks. I’ll be there in the morning, come whenever it’s convenient for you.
– RECORD: Green Up wants better records of how many people collected and how much trash (probably for funding purposes), so please record how many people collected and how many bags you’ve brought when you dump.
