Join friends and neighbors for the Community Lantern Festival on Saturday, November 8th at 6:00pm to celebrate our community and create a beautiful ring of light around the falls. Bring a lantern or light of any kind to the Riverfront Park in downtown Middlebury and join others in walking through town, beginning at the park (Marble Works) and walking across the footbridge, up Mill Street, into Frog Hollow Alley, down Main Street and then back to the Marble Works through Printer’s Alley. There are some fun and easy-to-make lantern ideas available here for anybody interested in creating your own lanterns, or attend a lantern making class at the Middlebury Studio School (see below for description).
No open flames please!
This event is free to attend and open to the public– the more people and lights, the more beautiful it will be in downtown Middlebury!
