With programming provided by Foxglove Farm, Vermont Woodlands Association, Vermont Tree Farm Program, and Audubon Vermont, come learn how maple syrup is made in working forests that support biodiversity and wildlife habitat.
Meet at Foxglove Farm where we’ll explore how well-managed forests can enhance bird habitat and provide a wide range of other benefits, learn how maple syrup is made, and taste fresh maple products from our sugarbush. We’ll learn through hands-on activities and a guided walk in the forest.
Foxglove Farm is a certified Tree Farm in the Vermont Tree Farm Program, certified Bird Friendly Maple Operation by Audubon Vermont, and is a member of the Vermont Maple Sugar Makers’ Association.
- March 16, 2024, 10 am- 2 pm (bring a bag lunch!).
- Parents must stay with their children.
- Meet at Foxglove Farm and Forest, Leicester, Vermont (GPS accessible)
- Families will receive a take-home kit for continued exploration of Vermont wildlife and Vermont maple!
- Please note that this outdoor activity will include walking on uneven terrain.
