Men’s Hockey To Wear Camouflage Jerseys To Benefit “Wounded Warrior Project”
The Middlebury College men’s hockey team will look to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project during its home games on February 1-2. The Panthers will be wearing camouflage jerseys against Wesleyan on Friday at 7:00 and Trinity on Saturday at 4:00. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off via silent auction throughout the games and can be picked up following Saturday’s game. The team has also been and will continue to sell other apparel at the games to help benefit the project.
Middlebury is working with “Hockey Helpers” to help raise money for this cause. The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to “honor and empower wounded warriors” of the United States Armed Forces. “The Wounded Warrior Project” (WWP) works to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.”
