Zoologist Mark Ferguson will lead a walk through a two-acre patch of dense nesting cover and pollinator habitat to hunt for any and all pollinators that can be caught with a bug net! Learn about the diversity of insects that feed on and pollinate our plants, beyond bees and butterflies.
This event is open to any age. Come prepared to walk on flat management roads and through tall vegetation and/or brush. Biting insects such as mosquitoes and ticks are likely.
A limited supply of nets will be provided. Bring your own if you have them. Hand lenses are also recommended.
We will meet at the Dead Creek West Branch Parking Ares – | map
