Everyone’s skin is brown—from very dark to very light—but where does it come from? We’ll learn the science behind skin color through a read-a-loud discussion and a hands-on matching game.

Rokeby offers FREE, anti-bias-themed family storytimes on third Thursdays during the summer. Grab a blanket and spread out under the locust trees (rain location available). Admission to Rokeby is free on Tuesdays after 1:00 p.m. Come early and explore our racial learning children’s room, exhibits, grounds, and story walk. Learning themes are designed for children ages 3-7, but babies, toddlers, and everyone are welcome.
