Middlebury
This interactive, semi-improvised show, directed by Middlebury College theatre professor Michole Biancosino, features performances at 12pm on Saturday and Sunday for kids ages 3-10 and their families. Then, at 7pm on Saturday evening, Marino performs “Show Up, Kids – After Dark!” for adults only.
Peter Michael Marino’s show puts a wildly comedic, theatrical twist on the traditional kids’ show. When the main attraction doesn’t show up, Pete enlists the help of the kids to provide prompts and control everything from plot to props, characters to costumes, and settings to sound in a one-of-a-kind, 55-minute laugh fest.
Marino was recently named ‘Creative of the Year’ by the Young-Howze Theatre Awards. He formerly played the villainous Joules Volter in the award-winning, Off-Broadway immersive family experience, “Pip’s Island.” Says Marino, “Being the goofy bad guy has been one of the most hilariously rewarding roles I’ve had the pleasure to take on. I wanted to take advantage of our mini-hibernation at “Pip’s” and get back to being the goofy good guy again. My show costume isn’t nearly as lush as Volter’s, and my set certainly isn’t as grand, but I’m fairly confident that the show will be just as entertaining. “
