Vergennes Memorial Day Parade

As they do every year, the American Legion Post 12 in Vergennes is hosting its annual parade on Memorial Day. This year’s Vergennes parade theme is “Honoring & Remembering All Who Served.” Following the parade, a ceremony honoring our service men and women will be held on the Vergennes Green. The parade will step off at 11 a.m. and follow a 1.5-mile route through the city. The parade honors all men and women who have served our country during times of conflict and is designed to appeal to veterans and the community. 

The parade marshal for this year’s parade is Karlene Devine. Following the parade, a chicken barbecue will be held at American Legion Post 14 from noon until the food is sold out.
