Break out your costumes, this weekend is jam-packed with Halloween themed events!
The weekend kicks off with fun for families in Bristol Friday night. Start your evening at Holley Hall for the Halloween Children’s Party at 5 p.m., then head over to the green at 6:45 p.m. for the Pumpkin Glow. Bring a pumpkin and candle to help light up the town, then stick around for a costume parade, live music, and a reading of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Start Saturday off on the right foot with two family fun costume runs in Bristol and Vergennes . Burn off some of those sugary treats at the Haunted Hustle in Bristol, race starts at 9:00! The costume race in Vergennes will start and end at the Vergennes Elementary School, registration starts at 9 a.m.. For more information about the Vergennes Halloween events, visit their downtown website. Vergennes will also be the site of another pumpkin glow. Pumpkins in the Park begins at 6:45pm and will be followed by a costume parade.
Sunday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.Klingons, Wookies and Cyclons provide a “Force” field of Halloween fun as kids wear science-fiction-focused costumes to trick-or-treat around The Shelburne Museum buildings. Closer to home there are two great events happening. The epic annual Spooktacular in Middlebury starts at 2 p.m. and is proceeded by a children’s Trick or Read Halloween Party at the Swift House Inn from 1-3 p.m..
