Downtown Middlebury, from 9 to 11 a.m. — plus: horse-drawn carriage rides, a special take-and-make wreath craft from Ilsley Library, caroling on the steps of the Congregational Church, AND the train display at the Sheldon Museum. The museum is requiring folks to reserve a time slot to see the trains on Saturdays through the holiday season; make yours here.)
Vergennes City Green, from 1 to 3 p.m. — plus: marshmallows over fire pits from 4-6 p.m., caroling at 4:30 p.m., a visit from the illuminated SD Ireland truck at 5 p.m., and sleigh rides through the city at 5:15 p.m.
Shoreham Town Green Gazebo, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Bring your letter to Santa and drop it off in a special mailbox. There will be a FREE book for kids from babies to teenagers and a treat bag. This drive-through event is open to all; please be ready to tell the ages of your kids when you drive up, so they get the right bags.
Salisbury’s Memorial Park, 5-6:30 p.m. — plus: the annual lighting of Salisbury’s beloved town tree, a bonfire, hayrides, book dedication to Salisbury babies born in 2021, a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” cookies and hot cocoa from Santa’s kitchen and a community sing-along.
