Caetlin Harwood, an Addison resident with two small children, is hoping to spread extra holiday cheer this year. Caetlin provides personal home care for local families, but this December she is partnering with the John Graham Emergency Shelter in Vergennes to host a toy drive to benefit all the children being serviced by the shelter. The shelter provides support for children ages 3-14 and all are in need of some extra support this holiday season.
Over the next two weeks, Caetlin is seeking your assistance in bringing the Christmas spirit to these children! Your donated toys and books will be delivered directly to children. Donating is easy and it will bring great joy to you and your family! Caetlin has set up drop off locations at Junebug in Middlebury and the Bixby Library in Vergennes. Donations of unwrapped and unopened toys, art supplies, books, etc. will be accepted until December 21, then Caetlin will collect the gifts, wrap them and deliver them to the shelter in time for Christmas Eve.
We know it’s easy to feel overwhelmed this time of year with all of the various charities and organizations asking for donations. These children are in our schools, living in our town, and in real need of some extra cheer, please consider picking up an extra toy while you shop for your family to donate this season.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email Caetlin.
