Are you up for a challenge this summer? Actually, it’s not so much a challenge as a really easy way to have fun, spend time outside, visit Vermont State Parks and earn a free State Park pass! Are you in? Great, here’s what you need to do:
1. Download a Score Sheet
2. Do fun outdoor activities listed on the score sheet between April 1, 2013- October 15, 2013. Such as as play on a playground at a state park, have a picnic in a state park, go swimming, build and fly a kite, hike to a waterfall, hang your laundry out to dry, go fishing, etc.
3. Take photos of your activities
4. When you reach 250 points, submit your score sheet and photos to us
5. Receive a VIP gold coin, good for free state park entry for rest of this year and all of next!
If you are doing the challenge as a family, you can take group photos, but each family member needs their own score sheet. If you want to learn more, visit Venture Vermont Outdoor Challenge.
P.S. Here’s a little insider secret, you don’t have to visit a lot of state parks; you can earn points by going to just a few in the area…Button Bay, Kingsland Bay, Branbury and Mt Philo… plus, lots of the activities can be done in your own backyard.
Good luck!
