There’s a lot to cheer about this weekend, especially if you have a hockey fan in your house! Tonight the Middlebury Men’s hockey team faces off against Trinity College at 7:00 p.m. The team will be taking donations at the door to help support the Wounded Warrior Project.
Tonight is also the last night to support Everybody Wins! VT. at Green Peppers Restaurant in Middlebury (10 Washington Street, 802-388-3164). Green Peppers will donate $4 from every large pizza they sell: eat-in or take-out, open to close. Addison County Everybody Wins! On Saturday, bring your skates to Kenyon Arena and Skate With The Panthers on following their 4:00 p.m. contest vs. Wesleyan. Players will be available to skate with following the game, as well as sign team photos that will be provided.
After the game, twelve Middlebury College students are hosting a babysitting night to raise funds for their upcoming service-learning trip. So go ahead, treat yourself to a kid-free evening! Drop-off the kids anytime after 5:30 p.m., pickup before 9:30 p.m. at Middlebury College Mitchell Green Lounge (on the second floor of the McCullough Student Center, 14 Old Chapel Road). Saturday also marks the annual Winter Trails Day. Winter Trails Day offers children and adults new to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing for free. Locally, Rikert Nordic Center is participating in this FREE event. “If you are new to winter sports, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are quick to learn and fun for all ages making them perfect for families and groups and they are a great way to get some exercise!”
