Hip-hip-hooray, the Wonder Carpet is OPEN! We were up at the Snow Bowl this morning and able to ride the new lift and in our opinion, it’s fantastic! Seriously, this opens up a whole new world for first time riders and beginners. The slope is just the right grade and riders can get in plenty of practice runs before heading over to the other lifts which offer steeper terrain. Plus with all this new snow, the trails are covered with soft snow (i.e. no ice), what a treat! Get out there and enjoy the snow this weekend.
Speaking of weekend, it’s upon us already. Truthfully, there’s not too much going on in town this weekend, but here are a few ideas to burn off that sugar cookie buzz…
Check out the vacation schedule at the Memorial Sports Center, they’ve added extra public skate times through the end of school vacation. Other alternatives might be a stop at Whirlie’s World for bouncing, hot chocolate at Middlebury Chocolates, or a visit to the pool at Vermont Sun.
If you’re headed to Burlington, be sure to check out Winter Fest at ECHO. There’s a special schedule for vacation week that includes two snowball fights a day, a family story time and animal care demonstrations. Sounds fun!
