Hello, MiniBury community!
Good news: MiniBury is back! The website has returned with its ever-valuable community calendar, a one-stop shop for Addison County parents.
At the heart of Minibury is a simple goal: Connecting local parents, caregivers and educators to each other, and to the community’s family-friendly events, classes and services. We know you all missed Minibury while it was gone — so did we! That’s why, with the blessings of its past creators and stewards, we are stepping in to take the reins. We are three local parents: Megan James, Linda January and Conor Stinson.
Linda is executive director at Otter Creek Child Center. She and her husband, Justin, live in Cornwall and recently welcomed their daughter, Evelyn.
Megan spent a decade writing and editing local news— at Seven Days, Kids VT and the Addison Independent — before ditching the newsroom for the local playgroup scene. She lives in Middlebury with her husband, Daniel, their two young daughters, Joni and Frankie, and a one-eyed cat.
Conor, who went to high school and college in Middlebury, returned to the area last winter with his wife, Ellen, and their daughter, Evie. In the intervening time, he became an adept NYC subway rider, a woodworker, and slightly older. Conor is now a full-time parent. In his spare time, he does battle with buckthorn and frets about home-improvement projects.
We’re excited to get MiniBury back in shape, and we have plans to make it a lasting resource.
First up, we want the calendar back. With the holidays upon us, we know there are a ton of great family-friendly events on the way. If you’re hosting a special event, or starting a new, regular low-cost or free activity in Addison County, we want to hear about it as soon as possible. Please visit our “Add Your Event” page. If you have questions, reach us at [email protected].
Stay tuned to our social media pages, and the website, as we roll out familiar and new parts of MiniBury. And thanks for helping to keep MiniBury thriving!
