Want to learn to figure skate? Middlebury Figure Skating offers classes for children ages 5-18, starting in November and ending with the big Ice Show in February. Registration is open now.
Lessons are on Sunday mornings at Middlebury College’s Chip Kenyon ‘85 Arena. All kids are grouped according to ability and coached at the level at which they are ready to learn following the US Figure Skating Association model.
Instructors invite skaters to have fun while exploring the basics of skating. Starting in January, each group will learn a number to perform in Middlebury College’s Winter Carnival Ice Show on February 17-19, which marks the end of the skating lessons.
Children between the ages of 5 and 18 years are welcome with their own skates. Figure skates encouraged for skaters age 8 and up.
